Project Engineer
Southern Diversified Tech 2/24/2014- current
The duties required for performing the role of Project Engineer are many.
It consists of receiving information based off a feasibility study and all
applicable information provided by the client to design all aspects of new
network construction. This included physically gathering all necessary
field information using a GPS platform, determining bore, trench, and plow
locations as well as Manhole placements and route deviations deemed
appropriate. Upon completion of field information collection I acquired and
completed all permit (State, Local, and Federal) applications. My
responsibilities then shifted to the presentation of all network design
elements for contract bid purposes. Once bid was complete and construction
began I was tasked with keeping a live redline drawing of daily progress
and overseeing a team of 11 construction inspectors and a Lead construction
inspector as well as supporting the team in any and all needed information
they required. Once the construction phases were complete I would assemble
a full set of accurate “as build” drawings for future reference. I
would move from office to field daily as to monitor that all schedule and
budget obligations were being met and approve or not approve any design
changes that were requested by construction contractor.
ISP Auditor/Bluestream
Professional Services
12/1/12-11/1/13
During
my time as an ISP Auditor I used my knowledge of the GR-1275 standards as
well as Windstream standards to perform a quality control audit of all
Windstream installed equipment and made recommendations as to how the
issues should be rectified. Upon completion of the physical audits I moved
laterally to a position on the remediation team sent to repair the issues.
I soon became a Field Team Leader and main support contact for all teams in
the field. Instructing and leading a 32 person team throughout the projects
entirety. Personnel placement and Team leadership were the primary
responsibilities for this position as well as leading by example by
performing the duties alongside the team. I constructed and implemented a
training system to ensure the success of all teams. With dedication and a
commitment to excellence I helped ensure the project met it deadline goals.
Field Engineer/ Buyers
Engineering
10/12/12-3/3/13
The
Field Engineer title required multiple responsibilities to fulfill this
role. Including collecting field information such as pole loading, base map
information collection, make ready needs following State, Local, and
Privately owned guidelines, as well as any pole change out orders that were
deemed necessary. Upon completion of field information my role shifted to
CAD operator. I used acquired information to transfer base map information
into viable construction drawings for implementation of desired network
needs. I also assisted and managed a two person team of Field Engineers
with the same roles.
OSP Inspector/Project
Engineer/ Bluestream Corp.
4/9/12-10/12/12
|
|
|
As an OSP Inspector I had the
responsibility of performing quality control inspections of OSP
construction for FTTT projects for Windstream and Verizon Wireless. Working
directly with multiple project managers I ensured that the construction
qualities were up to standards and that the construction crews were
progressing as scheduled and adhering to all safety guidelines. Upon
completion of the OSP inspections it was my duty to redline construction
drawings of any and all deviations made in the construction phase of the
project and submit them for review and remediation. During my tenure as OSP
Inspector I also performed Field engineering duties which included
conceptual route development using a mapping software to locate and design
any potential fiber optic routes. This included designing permit drawings
for all State, Local, and Federal entities, as well as collecting all
information necessary to produce base maps, make ready recommendations, and
suggestions for code compliance.

my role as Lead Inspector. My responsibilities included coordinating all
inspectors on the project and verifying that all inspectors follow
guidelines and specs accordingly. Acting as liaison between field
